Watch BBC Two, Live Stream Online Free, BBC 2 is the second channel to be created by the British Broadcasting Corporation and began its emission in 1964. Similarly to BBC One, BBC 2 is paid for by the British public who pay an annual TV license and in return receive a channels full of advertisement-free programmes.
BBC Two originally chose a more specialist, educated level of programmes for viewers to tune into dealing with politics, wildlife, education and debates although these days, such programmes have been shifted across to BBC Four and now its attentions are focused on lighter programmes such as Top Gear, Dragon’s Den and Flog it! alongside the regular University Challenge, News night and Daily Politics.
BBC has for many a year been viewed as a “Sunday Viewing” channel. Although with the introduction of smart TV’s and catch up, BBC 2 was under pressure to update its image with the times and reach out to a more youthful audience to attract higher ratings.
According to 2015 statistics, BBC 2’s most popular programme is Top Gear starring Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond which has been running since 1977 and was originally presented by Angela Rippon but has always been a BBC production.
