Arthur, Leverkusen’s right-back, has signed a contract extension that keeps him at the club until June 2031, the Bundesliga side announced on Wednesday. The 23-year-old Brazilian, whose previous deal ran through 2028, has committed three additional years to the German club.
Sporting Director Simon Rolfes highlighted Arthur’s potential as a key factor in the decision. “Arthur is a player who, with his footballing qualities, can and should help shape the future of the club. We want to continue supporting his positive development this season and are delighted to have such an excellent footballer and person with us for the long term,” Rolfes said.
Arthur joined Leverkusen from América Mineiro in January 2023 and has since become a vital part of the squad. He was part of the historic team that won the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal double in 2024. Under coach Kasper Hjulmand, the right-back has made 62 official appearances for the club, establishing himself as one of the most reliable options on the right flank.
